Celtic vs Rangers Predictions
- Celtic have led at half-time in four of the last five head-to-heads
- Brendan Rodgers has only lost one of the 18 derbies he has presided over
- The most recent meeting saw Celtic win 1-0 to win the cup for the Hoops
Bhoys hard to beat
There will be no away fans once again as Celtic and Rangers face off at Parkhead on Sunday and the visitors look unlikely to thrive in the hostile environment.
The Hoops have now won eight of the last 11 meetings between these two, with the Gers’ only victory a dead rubber at the end of the 2022-23 campaign when Celtic had already sewn up the title.
The home side will be without Matt O’Riley after his move to Brighton but they have been in ominously good form this term and are now unbeaten in their last 21 matches in all competitions.
Brendan Rodgers has won 14 of the 18 meetings he has presided over as Bhoys manager and looks likely to mastermind another.
The Light Blues have added plenty of youth to their squad over the summer but it remains to be seen if that will be enough to bridge what was an eight-point gap last term.
They were beaten 3-1 by Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League qualifiers and Phillipe Clement’s side look unlikely to produce a shock result in this one.
Celtic have made fast starts in all four competitive games this term, opening the scoring inside 17 minutes of in all of those matches – and inside the opening four minutes in three of them.
They tend to rush out of the blocks and are fancied to lead at both half-time and full-time in this one.
