      Stuttgart to Win

      Reason for tip

Stuttgart have won five of their last seven away games and should be too strong for a Celtic team who are lacking the quality to get involved at this level against a team who are fourth in the Bundesliga.

      Stuttgart 2-1

      Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in six of Celtic’s last seven games and a repeat of that looks likely between them and Stuttgart, who have seen five of their last six matches go over 2.5 goals. The visitors are taken to win 2-1.

      Celtic vs Stuttgart Predictions

      • Stuttgart have won five of their last seven away games
      • Celtic were one of the five teams to progress to the knockout stages without keeping a clean sheet
      • Both teams have scored in six of Celtic’s last seven matches

      Bhoys face tough test

Celtic produced another last-minute winner to get the better of Kilmarnock on Sunday but their fortune may run out as they host Stuttgart in the Europa League play-offs on Thursday.

The Bhoys may be ten games unbeaten but the Bundesliga visitors are a step up on those opponents and the class difference could tell.

Martin O’Neill has produced a number of magic moments since taking over for a third stint as Celtic boss, however it is a worry that his side needed late drama to get the better of Livingston and Killie.

      Stuttgart strong on the road

Stuttgart have been in fine form as of late, winning five of their last six games, and they have climbed to fourth in the German top flight as a result.

After a poor start to their Europa League campaign in which they lost two of their opening three games, they won four of their last five to secure a spot in the knockouts with ease, missing a top-eight finish by a point.

They have already beaten Feyenoord, Celta Vigo and Young Boys in this competition and should be too strong for a Celtic side whose primary focus is winning the Scottish Premiership. Side with the visitors to win the first leg of this knockout clash.

Both teams have scored in six of Celtic’s last seven matches and a repeat of that looks likely, take a 2-1 win for the away side.
