Central Coast Mariners vs Brisbane Roar Predictions
Central Coast Mariners’ 3-2 win over Perth Glory on the opening day of the Hyundai A-League season was a very promising sign for their fans, but unfortunately for them that’s as good as it has got for them.
They haven’t managed to pick up all three points since then, and have lost seven of their nine A-League games since then.
This, quite unsurprisingly, leaves them rock bottom of the table with a measly tally of five points from their opening ten games. They are already four points adrift of 9th place Adelaide United.
Brisbane Roar were at the top of the table for a while towards the beginning of the season, but a recent dip in form has seen Western Sydney Wanderers open up a four point gap over the 2nd placed Brisbane Roar.
They opened their season with three wins from their first four matches and lost just once in their first eight A-League matches.
But they did fall to defeat a couple of weeks ago against Western Sydney Wanderers, which leaves their recent record at two wins, two draws, and a loss from their last five fixtures.
Despite Central Coast Mariners’ shocking form this season, their attacking play hasn’t been that bad. They have scored in nine of their ten A-League games this season and seen both sides hit the back of the net on nine occasions too.
Brisbane Roar have also scored in nine of their ten league matches, with both sides finding the scoresheet eight times.
This points squarely towards a Both Teams to Score bet, and considering the scoring record of both sides so far this season I think odds of 8/13 are very fair for this outcome. I’m also backing Brisbane Roar to get the win in a 2-1 correct score prediction at 15/2.
