Charlton vs Coventry Predictions

Coventry are the bet to beat an out-of-form Charlton at The Valley on Thursday.

Championship leaders Coventry have won 15 of their 24 games this season, while Charlton are 20th in the table with seven wins, six draws and ten defeats.

No team has scored more Championship goals this season than Coventry’s 54 in 24 games, and they have scored three or more goals in ten of those matches.

Recent form does not inspire much confidence in Charlton, who have sustained two successive Championship reverses. Seven of their last nine matches have ended in defeat and they have failed to win eight of those games.

The hosts look frail defensively. Charlton have conceded in four of their last six Championship home games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in 13 of their last 16 league matches.

It has been profitable backing Coventry at odds-on this season, with a 6.42-unit profit and 15 wins from 21 such games.

There have been under 2.5 goals in Coventry’s last five Championship matches and the visitors’ last two wins have both come via a 1-0 scoreline. With Charlton having lost two games on the spin by a single goal, a narrow win for Coventry looks likely.
