Charlton vs MK Dons Predictions
- Charlton have lost their last three matches
- MK Dons are unbeaten in their last six away matches
- Charlton are missing a number of key men
Striker crisis has stopped Charlton firmly in their tracks
Charlton are without their three best strikers, none of whom look likely to line-up in this contest. Charlton have been without Jayden Stockley, Connor Washington and Chuks Aneke for their last two matches and this has massively affected the team’s fortunes.
With no focal point at the top of the pitch, Charlton have struggled sustaining attacks and have looked devoid of ideas in the final third recently. The Addicks have mustered just three shots on target in their last two matches – it’s now three defeats in a row for Johnnie Jackson’s men and attentions must now turn to preparing for next season.
MK Dons positioned to pounce on Wigan slip up
MK Dons have been a revelation this season, with Liam Manning seamlessly taking over from Russell Martin, who departed for Swansea mid-season. MK Dons are unbeaten in their last six matches, this run extends to one defeat in their last ten and they have been mightily impressive on the road this season. MK Dons haven’t lost on the road in the league in 2022, they currently hold the 3rd best away record in League One having taken 32 points from their 17 away matches this season. They look primed to go well once again against an out of form Charlton team.
The main selection in this game will be MK Dons to win in the outright market. Charlton’s lack of fire power is a big concern, and I can’t see them causing MK Dons backline many problems on Tuesday. In the correct score market I will chance a 2-0 away win.
