Charlton vs Port Vale Predictions
Charlton, who’ve previously looked hard to beat, put in a rather tame effort last weekend as they slumped to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Swindon, while Port Vale, who’d struggled for a time, have recently got back on track with back-to-back wins.
At odds of 10/11, ‘Both Teams to Score’ is the best bet ahead of this match. Charlton are likely to produce better than they did last weekend now back in front of a home crowd and should carry enough of a goal threat, while Port Vale will be confident of finding the net having found their feet in recent weeks.
In front of their own fans, Charlton have only failed to score once and against a side who’ve kept just two clean sheets on the road, they really ought to be scoring here. At the same time, though, Port Vale have scored in four of their last five on the road and will definitely fancy their chances of scoring against a side who’ve conceded six goals in their last five matches.
The visitors have recently been boosted by the return of striker Alex Jones – a player who’s scored nine goals in League One this season. With Jones in their side the visitors definitely carry an attacking threat, while Charlton, who’ve scored seven in their last three at home, shouldn’t be lacking in this area either.
