Chelsea vs Bournemouth Betting Tips

Chelsea finally look to be sorting themselves out. After a slow and disappointing start to the season they saw themselves facing another poor run back at the end of September.

They lost six, drew one, and won one of eight games played throughout this period, but since then they have won three of their last five and only lost once.

These victories came against Dynamo Kiev, Norwich, and Maccabi Tel-Aviv, with their loss coming against the defensively sound Stoke.

But Chelsea’s own defence has begun tightening up, with them keeping a clean sheet in each of their last three matches.

The same can’t be said of Bournemouth though, who have conceded at least one goal in all but one of their competitive matches this season.

This gives them the joint worst defensive record in the Premier League, with them averaging over two goals per game shipped, meaning even Chelsea’s misfiring attack should be able to bag a couple against them.

The visitors are in terrible form as well. Bournemouth haven’t won any of their last nine games in all competitions, and six of them have ended in defeat for the relegation candidates.

This has seen them drop down into the Premier League relegation zone, and they now sit in 18^th position with 10 points from their opening 14 games. A win on Saturday evening could see them move to within two points of Chelsea, who lie in 14^th position in the table.

Bournemouth have conceded at least two goals in five of their last seven matches in all competitions. With the likes of Callum Wilson, Max Gradel, and Tyrone Mings missing, and coming up against an in form Chelsea defence, I don’t see them getting a goal back either.

This should all make for a comfortable win for Chelsea on Saturday, and odds of 1.875 for a Chelsea -1.0, -1.5 Asian Handicap Win look very good value.
