Chelsea vs Bournemouth Predictions
Chelsea’s unstoppable winning streak continued last weekend when they beat Crystal Palace 1-0. The scoreline may have been a narrow margin of victory, but the result never looked in doubt for a Chelsea side who have now won 11 Premier League matches on the bounce.
This has unsurprisingly taken them to the top of the table, and they now hold a six point lead over 2nd placed Liverpool and look huge favourites for the Premier League title.
The return to form of Diego Costa has been a major driving force behind their success, but he finally picked up another booking last weekend and will now miss out through suspension. Chelsea aren’t exactly lacking in attacking talent though, and Eden Hazard will now be the main outlet for them. He has scored six of his eight league goals this season at Stamford Bridge, so at 7/5 to score anytime he looks the best option for our goalscorer predictions.
Bournemouth have struggled defending against skillful players this season as well, and Hazard is undoubtedly one of those. The visitors defence has been very poor in general recently, as illustrated by the fact they lost 3-1 at home to a Charlie Austin-less Southampton last weekend. They have now conceded 12 goals in their last five games.
Away from home Bournemouth have lost four of their last six games as well, winning just once. This includes a 4-0 thrashing at Manchester City and a 3-1 loss to Arsenal, so a Chelsea mauling is by no means out of the question.
Chelsea have been on the right end of these high margins of victory as well. They have scored 15 goals in their last five home league games, including a 3-0 win over Leicester, a 4-0 win over Manchester United, and a 5-0 smashing of Everton. They have kept a clean sheet in four of these five games too and in ten of their last 12 home and away matches.
This makes a bet of Chelsea -1.5 Asian Handicap Win at 2.100 look a good value offering, even without Costa present. I’m backing that alongside a 3-0 correct score predictions at 9/1.
