Chester vs Kidderminster Harriers Predictions
Chester followed their disappointing FA Cup exit to Altrincham with a defeat away to Conference National leaders Forest Green Rovers on Halloween, a result which made it just two wins in their last six games in all competitions.
This has seen them start to slide down the Conference National table, and they now sit in 15th position with 25 points from their opening 19 league games.
A win against Kidderminster Harriers on Tuesday could see them rise as high as 12th in the table, coincidentally the position they finished in last campaign.
Kidderminster Harriers would love to be in the position they finished last season at the moment.
They are currently second from bottom in the Conference National table, with their measly tally of 11 points leaving them five points adrift of safety.
But things are looking up for the visitors. They picked up their first win of the season in their 1-0 win over Woking on Halloween, ending their run of 24 competitive matches without a victory.
They still haven’t won on the road since January though, with only seven points being collected from a possible 51 on the road since then.
This doesn’t look good for the visitors on Tuesday, and it’s made even worse by the fact that Chester have won three of their last four home games and only lost two of their last 11.
I can’t see Kidderminster getting a result on Tuesday. Even with their recent win their confidence will still be at rock bottom following a shockingly bad year so far.
The odds for a Chester Win sit at 13/20 with bet365, which aren’t the best value you’ll ever see but I still think they’ll turn a profit. Chester also haven’t won by more than one goal all season so I think a handicap bet would be a poor choice.
I’m backing the Chester win for this one along with a 2-1 correct scoreline at 7/1.
