Chesterfield to Punish Crawley’s Defensive Woes

Chesterfield should be backed to get a home win over Crawley on Saturday. The visitors are finding it hard to score this season and that could hand the advantage to Paul Cook’s side.

Chesterfield beat Harrogate Town 2-1 last weekend to keep up their recent winning trend. Ronan Darcy opened the scoring in the sixth minute, with Chey Dunkley also getting on the scoresheet. The win means Chesterfield have won all three matches in which they have been odds-on this season.

The visitors are looking vulnerable at the back. Crawley have yet to keep a clean sheet after five League Two games, which will be a concern for their manager.

Chesterfield have been in excellent form, having won six of their last seven League Two games.

It would be no surprise to see Chesterfield score, having found the net in eight consecutive games. They have scored at least twice in three of their last four League Two matches, including a 4-1 win over Morecambe in April.

Chesterfield have won five of their last seven home games in League Two, and a 2-0 success for the hosts appeals as the correct score.
