Senegal to sail through to knockouts

Senegal face Iraq in the final round of group stage matches. Both teams sit on zero points, so only a win will do to give either team a chance of qualifying to the next round via a third place spot. Both teams have shown encouraging signs, despite being outclassed by France, they both were able to give Norway something to think about. 

On paper it is Senegal who look the much stronger of the two sides, with top European talent such as Sadio Mane, Nicolas Jackson and Ismail Sarr. That’s a very solid front three and it has shown, with them scoring in both of their opening two games. Iraq looks leaky at the back, and in both games have been the masters of their own downfall with two poor mistakes playing out from the back, which were capitalised by both France and Norway. If they keep playing like that Senegal are bound to take advantage.

With Iraq conceding seven goals in two games, Senegal will be licking their chops and hoping to score a few to put themselves in the best possible position in the 3rd place table, and they certainly have the talent to do so. Expect them to win this comfortably scoring at least two in the process.
