Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

Marseille have avoided defeat in seven of their last eight away games, including a 3-2 win at Union SG, who are two points better off than Club Brugge at the top of the Belgian Pro League. They can secure the point they need in a high-scoring draw with 2-2 a solid option.

Brugge fighting for survival in the top‑24 race

Marseille can make sure of a place in the knockout phase play-offs with a victory over Club Brugge, who will need to win well to give themselves any chance of progression.

The Belgian Pro League runners-up enjoyed a 4‑1 win away at Kairat Almaty last week to keep their slim playoff hopes alive, lifting them to 27th and just one point off the qualification line. It was a much‑needed result after a poor run that included heavy defeats to Bayern Munich, Sporting Lisbon and Arsenal. Domestically, they remain strong contenders for the Belgian title, but inconsistency continues to plague their European campaign.

The hosts are still missing key winger Christos Tzolis and goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel, while long‑term absentee Lynnt Audoor remains sidelined. Hans Vanaken and Romeo Vermant will again shoulder the creative burden, but this is far from a full‑strength Brugge side.

Marseille look the more reliable option

Marseille sit 19th with nine points and are slightly better positioned heading into the final matchday. Their 3‑0 defeat to Liverpool was a setback, but Roberto De Zerbi’s men had previously impressed against Newcastle and Union Saint‑Gilloise. In Ligue 1, they arrive boosted by a 3‑1 win over Lens.

OM are without Emerson Palmieri and Geoffrey Kondogbia, but Nayef Aguerd’s return strengthens the defence, while Mason Greenwood, Igor Paixao and either Amine Gouiri or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang offer real attacking threat.

With neither side holding a clear motivational edge, Marseille’s stronger squad depth and steadier recent form make them appealing in the double chance market.
