Napoli head the chase of runaway Serie A leaders Inter and, in what has become a congested battle to finish runners-up, they can give their hopes a lift with a positive result at Como.

Como sit fifth but are eight points behind Napoli and they are showing signs of slowing down, having won only one of their last four league assignments.

Cesc Fabregas’ side also blew a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 away at Inter in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final at the end of April and their exertions may be taking its toll.

Como are not to be taken lightly given the success they have enjoyed this season, but they have failed to win eight of their 17 home league games and Napoli may be in better nick at present.

Both meetings this season have ended in draws, the latest of which finished 1-1 in Naples in the Coppa Italia quarter-final before Como triumphed on penalties. A repeat scenario in another tight affair could be on the cards.
