Tip Reasoning

  • Coventry’s last four home matches have yielded three wins and one draw.
  • The Sky Blues are unbeaten in their last five Championship games, winning two.
  • Luton have lost their last two away matches and four of their eight starts on the road this term.
  • The Hatters have won just one of their last six games, losing two.

Resurgent Sky Blues to Strike Again

After three wins and a draw from their last four home games, Coventry look a great bet at St Andrews this Tuesday to overcome a Luton side who have lost their last two league matches on the road.

Following a torrid run of just one win, two draws and six defeats from late September through to early November, Coventry have really steadied the ship in recent weeks and go into this fixture with Luton unbeaten in their last five Championship starts (W2, D3).

Saturday’s convincing 3-1 success over Rotherham United at St Andrews lifted the Sky Blues up to 19th and they’re now six points clear of the bottom three. Mark Robin’s side will be brimming with confidence after that result and they’re difficult to oppose for this week’s clash against the Hatters who have won just one of their last half dozen league games (D3, L2).

That victory came against leaders Norwich City at Kenilworth Road ten days ago (3-1), but their last three away assignments have yielded just a single point, with defeats to nil against Cardiff City (4-0) and Swansea (2-0) succeeding a 1-1 draw at Huddersfield Town.

The 12th placed visitors are five points ahead of Coventry in the table, but it’s the Sky Blues who look firmly on the upgrade and we’re backing them to land the points this Tuesday. In the correct score market, we’re opting for 2-0 with Luton netting just four times in their eight away matches thus far.
