Crystal Palace vs Fulham Predictions

  • Fulham have kept just two clean sheets in 12 Premier League away games this season.
  • Crystal Palace have kept just two clean sheets in their last 11 home league matches.
  • Fulham have drawn five of their last six league games on the road.
  • Only Brighton have drawn more Premier League fixtures than Fulham overall this season.

Cottagers have a fighting chance

Fulham had looked dead, buried and destined for a return to the Championship at the turn of the year, though a haul of seven points from the last nine on offer has set the Cottagers up for a miraculous escape.

Scott Parker’s slick passers earned a valuable 1-0 victory over Sheffield United last time out to close the gap on 17th placed Newcastle to just three points, and with spirits high in the Fulham camp, they will cross London with confidence on Saturday.

Palace get lucky

Crystal Palace meanwhile, made it a trio wins from five Premier League assignments when they won by the odd goal in three at Brighton, though their victory was scarcely deserved.

The Eagles scored twice from just three attempts against the Seagulls who racked up 25 shots in reply, and a more ruthless team might have punished Palace’s lax defending.

Goals at both ends likely

January signing Jean-Philippe Mateta got off the mark for Palace at the AMEX Stadium, and with their new star striker up and running, the Eagles should be able to land a blow against a Fulham team that kept just two clean sheets in 12 assignments on the road this season.

In Josh Maja, the Cottagers secured attacking reinforcements of their own however, and with their threat in the final third increased they look capable of getting in on the act against a Palace outfit that shut-out their visitors just twice in 11 attempts at home.

Backing both teams to score is favoured at the prices on offer on Saturday then, while a 1-1 draw looks a potentially profitable correct score prediction.

Fulham shared the spoils in five of their last six Premier League tussles away from Craven Cottage and their toughening exterior should allow them to claim another point against Palace.

Crystal Palace injuries and team news

Crystal Palace still have a lengthy injury list, with Mamadou Sakho, Jeffrey Schlupp, Connor Wickham, James Tomkins, James McArthur, Nathan Ferguson and Wilfried Zaha all ruled out for Sunday. Keeper Wayne Hennessey is also rated as doubtful.

Fulham injuries and team news

Tom Cairney remains Fulham’s only injury concern, while striker Aleksandar Mitrovic returned to training this week after a bout of COVID-19.
