      Crystal Palace vs Swansea Predictions

Crystal Palace were excellent in the second half of last season when Alan Pardew took over, with him guiding Palace to a comfortable finish in the Premier League amid relegation fears.

He has continued that excellent work this season as well, taking Crystal Palace to an entirely unexpected 5th place in the Premier League at the halfway point.

Crystal Palace’s goalless draw with Bournemouth on Boxing Day was a bit of a disappointment though, although it did extend their unbeaten streak to five matches in the Premier League.

Three of those games have been wins for Palace, with Newcastle, Southampton, and Stoke all falling to defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.

Swansea managed to get a desperately needed win on Saturday, with a toothless West Brom falling to a 1-0 loss in South Wales. They were unfortunate not to get a penalty in the closing stages though.

This was Swansea’s first win since the middle of October, with five defeats and two draws making up the seven results between the two wins.

Fortunately for them, this victory was enough to lift them out of the Premier League relegation zone, and they are now in 16th position with a one point cushion over the bottom three. They will need to build on this win if they are to escape from danger though.

Crystal Palace are unbeaten against Swansea in their last three meetings, and each of those results was when Swansea were a much better team and Crystal Palace a worse one.

I think the home side will be confident of getting a win on Monday, and odds of 11/10 for a home win look excellent value for money. I’m going for a narrow 1-0 win at 6/1 as well considering Swansea’s recent improvement in defence.
