Denmark vs Scotland Predictions

  • Denmark have won 12 of their last 17 internationals (D1, L4), including three of their last four (L1).
  • Kasper Hjulmand’s have netted 43 goals across that period and have struck 11 in their last four games.
  • Scotland have beaten only Luxembourg and Faroe Islands in their last ten internationals (D4, L4).

Long night ahead for Scotland at Parken Stadium

Denmark have won three from three in Group F and Kasper Hjulmand’s side can extend their 100% record in style against Scotland this week.

The Danes delighted everyone at Euro 2020 and became most spectators’ second favourite nation en route to the semi-finals, where they were narrowly edged out by England at Wembley in the semi-finals.

Hjulmand’s side have lost only to England, Belgium and Finland in the last three years, and they’ve won 12 of their last 17 internationals, bagging a huge 43 goals across that spell. The Danes netted 11 in their last four Euro 2020 matches, and Scotland could be in for a long evening in Copenhagen if the hosts are able to immediately hit the ground running.

Scotland managed to hold arch-rivals England to a goalless stalemate at Euro 2020, though that was just about all The Tartan Army had to shout about during the summer.

Steve Clarke’s side showed very little attacking prowess at the finals and defended poorly throughout their 2-0 and 3-1 defeats to Czech Republic and Croatia.

Scotland have a foothold in Group F after accruing five points from their first three qualifiers, but Clarke’s side have beaten only Luxembourg and Faroe Islands in their last ten outings.

We can’t envisage anything other than a comfortable Denmark success in Copenhagen and Hjulmand’s side can cover a one goal handicap based on their overall superiority and rich goal scoring form. The visitors will do well to keep this one respectable, and we think the margin may be three goals come the full time whistle.
