Dundee vs Celtic Predictions
- Celtic have scored at least three goals in eight of their last nine matches in all competitions
- Dundee have shipped at least three goals in two of their three home games against the Old Firm
- Celtic have beaten Dundee 3-0, 3-0 and 7-1 already this season
- Matt O’Riley has scored in three of his last four appearances for Celtic
Hoops have a happy knack of scoring three
Celtic should record an easy victory against an opponent they have easily beaten three times already this season when they travel to Dens Park to face Dundee on Sunday.
Brendan Rodgers’ side remain on course for the domestic double after outlasting Aberdeen in a see-saw FA Cup semi-final at Hampden last weekend. Rodgers’ men are regularly scoring a hatful of goals at the moment with at least three strikes recorded in eight of their last nine games in all competitions.
That happy knack of finding the back of the net has kept them ahead of Rangers in the run in and little should change in the standings after Sunday’s games apart from goal difference.
Dundee’s defence has taken a pounding
And it is easy to envisage the Hoops boosting their tally by running rings around Dundee defenders for a fourth time in this campaign. After trouncing Tony Docherty’s side 3-0 in Glasgow back in September, Rodgers side repeated the dose in Dundee on Boxing Day and then smashed seven past them at Parkhead in February.
Docherty’s side were also well beaten by Rangers in one of the Light Blues’ trips to Dens Park, so the prospects for a pummelling look good here.
They have some dangermen of their own, so a home goal is not out of the question, but previous results between them and the Old Firm suggest Celtic will win to nil and score a minimum of three goals with the latter looking like the best available tip.
