Inconsistent Dundee

It has been a tough season for The Dark Blues on their return to the SPL, but an impressive 3-0 win at home to Motherwell at the weekend has breathed plenty of confidence into the side.

They have picked up nine points from their six home games so far but sit second bottom courtesy of their awful away form.

Dens Park is the place where they are most likely to win and I fancy them to do so here as they chase a fourth victory in seven matches.

St Johnstone’s Dull Away Games

Matches at Dens Park this season have already seen an incredible 26 goals, including 14 in the last three matches, but that is completely at odds with how St Johnstone having been doing away from home.

Callum Davidson’s side have scored twice and conceded only three times in six away matches, picking up eight points from two wins, two draws and two defeats.

They have failed to score in three of their last four games on their travels, and although Dundee have a somewhat leaky defence, I expect that record will continue.

I predict both teams will not score, as is the trend when these two teams meet anyway, with Dundee picking up an important 2-0 victory.
