Dunfermline vs Inverness CT Predictions
- Dunfermline have lost five of their last eight league and cup fixtures.
- Inverness CT have won their last two Championship away fixtures against the teams above and below Dunfermline.
- Dunfermline have failed to score in their last two home games against Inverness CT (0-0 & 0-1).
Under-par Pars facing bleak winter
Dunfermline were well beaten at home by leaders Arbroath on Boxing Day and it seems inevitable that second-placed Inverness CT will inflict another defeat on them this Wednesday.
The Smokies’ 3-0 win doesn’t full illustrate how dominant they were with the Pars creating very little on the day and looking brittle at the back.
Inverness CT are just three points back of Arbroath in the table and can boast similar – if not quite as impressive – away form too. Billy Dodds’ side have won four and drawn four of their nine away trips this season and comfortably dealt with the other two clubs in the bottom three on their travels recently.
Caley not usually prolific away from home
Caley Jags have not conceded in their last two trips to East End Park either, which raises the possibility of a win to nil bet here. But they allowed both Queen of the South and Greenock Morton to breach their backline in those two recent road games, so we’re happy to take the odds against price on the visitors to return north with the three points.
A 1-0 success is the pick in correct score betting, though, as Inverness CT averaged exactly one goal per game on the road from their eight games prior to the recent 6-1 mauling of Morton, which seems to have been an outlier.
