Eintracht Frankfurt vs Darmstadt Betting Tips

A season that started fairly promising has taken a drastic turn for the worse for Eintracht Frankfurt. They started by only losing one of their opening five games, but have only managed to win one since then.

They come in to this match having lost six of their last ten matches in all competitions, winning just once and drawing three times.

They haven’t won any of their last five outings, with losses to Erzebirge Aue, Bayer Leverkusen, and Mainz and draws against Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim making up their results.

This has seen them freefall down the table, and they currently reside in 13^th position having picked up an average of one point per game. Just four points sit between them and the relegation zone.

Darmstadt, having been promoted from the 2. Bundesliga last season, started their season in the top flight very brightly.

They were unbeaten after four Bundesliga games and only lost one of their first seven league matches.

However, they haven’t won any of their last five Bundesliga games. This run has included three losses to Ingolstadt, Stuttgart, and Wolfsburg and draws against Hamburg and Cologne.

This sees them sit a position above Eintracht Frankfurt with a return of 15 points from their first 14 matches.

Both of these sides are trying to base their campaigns on a solid defence, although both teams sometimes crack under pressure and conceded a glut of goals.

Eintracht Frankfurt have conceded one or fewer goals in four of their last six matches in all competitions, with Darmstadt doing the same in five of their last seven outings.

This is making for quite an uneventful meeting on Sunday, and I’m not expecting a great many goals to be scored. Odds of 3/4 for Under 2.5 Match Goals look like pretty good odds to me, and I’m backing this along with a 1-1 correct score prediction at 5/1.
