Eintracht Frankfurt Over 1.5 Team Goals

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Sporting Lisbon Predictions
- Eintracht have scored eight goals in their last two Bundesliga games.
- Sporting have conceded at least two goals in three of their five competitive games this season.
- Daichi Kamada has scored three goals in his last four appearances.
Sporting will be stretched by buzzing Bundesliga hosts
Sporting Lisbon’s defence will be stretched to breaking point when they meet in-form Eintracht Frankfurt on the Bundesliga club’s Champions League debut this Wednesday. There’s bound to be a spectacular atmosphere at Deutsche Bank Park for this landmark fixture as the Europa League winners and Group D seeds get their campaign under way.
Oliver Glasner’s side are coming off a 4-0 rout of RB Leipzig last weekend that was their biggest Bundesliga win under the coach’s reign and followed on from another four-goal show at Werder Bremen. It’s fair to say they are brimming with confidence right now and could take Sporting to the cleaners if they get on a roll.
The Lions’ personality has changed a lot in the past year and they are nowhere near as defensively sound in domestic company. Ruben Amorim’s side never looked as secure at Champions League level anyway, conceding five at home to Ajax and Manchester City last term.
Kamada killing it off Kolo Muani’s supply
Sporting kept only one clean sheet in their six group games last year and this game is unlikely to see them blank an Eintracht attack that looks mobile and full of ideas. Summer signing Randal Kolo Muani is a superb focal point and unselfish goal maker while Daichi Kamada’s ability to play off him is reaping rewards.
The Japanese star, who was reportedly set to join Sporting’s Lisbon rivals Benfica until a late u-turn last week, has scored three goals in his last four appearances and had another strike disallowed for offside at the weekend. He is massive value as an anytime goalscorer at around 100/30.
Sporting will need to be at their best going forward to have any chance here because Eintracht can still be susceptible at the back. They have a couple of players filling in out of position and conceded eleven goals in the first four rounds of the Bundesliga before claiming a clean sheet on Saturday. That’s why the over 1.5 Frankfurt goals is preferred to the hosts’ similar win price here and a 2-1 Eintracht victory selected in correct score betting.
