Frankfurt to triumph at home again

Eintracht Frankfurt have won four of their last six Bundesliga home games, and they should be backed to secure another victory when St Pauli visit Deutsche Bank Park on Sunday.

They are third in the league, 11 places and 25 points above St Pauli. The hosts have 16 wins, eight draws and eight losses, while the visitors sit 14th with eight wins, seven draws and 17 defeats.

Eintracht Frankfurt will be confident of finding the net, having scored three goals or more in 11 of their 32 Bundesliga games this season. They have also averaged over two goals a game in their 17 matches against bottom-half teams.

Eintracht Frankfurt are on the verge of Champions League qualification and are unlikely to slip here.

St Pauli’s struggles in attack will make it difficult for them to get a result. They have scored just 16 goals on the road this season, an average of one per game from 16 matches.

Eintracht Frankfurt were 1-0 winners against St Pauli last time they met in the Bundesliga and a narrow victory looks on the cards again, with under 2.5 goals in four of Eintracht Frankfurt’s last six league games. St Pauli have lost by a single goal nine times in the Bundesliga.
