Elche 1-0

Reason for tip

Racing Santander are without a goal in four league games and have lost their last three games to nil. Two of these were 1-0 losses, while Elche beat Burgos by that scoreline at home in October.

Elche vs Racing Santander Predictions

  • Elche have won four of their last five home games.
  • Racing Santander are without a goal in their last four assignments.

Los Montaneses hit rough patch

After missing out on a play-off berth on goal difference last season, Racing Santander stormed into the 2024/25 campaign with 11 wins and just one defeat from their opening 15 league matches.

This fantastic run took them to the summit of the Spanish Segunda Division, but their table-topping form has taken a turn for the worse over the past month, and they could be vulnerable against a solid Elche outfit on Thursday.

Los Montaneses have lost their last three games and have failed to score in their last four. Each of these defeats have come against sides currently in the top eight of the division, so seventh-placed Elche may fancy their chances in front of their own fans.

Elche hit their stride on home soil

The hosts picked up a goalless draw at Eldense last time out, extending their unbeaten run to five games and leaving them within touching distance of the play-offs.

At home, they have lost just one of their last nine games and have won four of their last five, including a stunning 4-0 triumph over third-placed Real Oviedo in November.

Los Franjiverdes look good value for the win on Thursday, and with Racing struggling to score a third 1-0 defeat in four games could be on the cards.
