Espanyol vs Las Palmas Betting Tips

It has been a mixed start to the campaign for Espanyol but the overwhelming impression has been that they’ve gone backwards from last year when they finished 10th in La Liga and reached the Semi Finals of the Copa del Rey.

Sergio’s dismissal was perhaps a little harsh given Espanyol are still safely positioned in mid-table and the fact that he has been replaced quickly by his former Espanyol team-mate will probably add salt to his wounds. League survival is still their principal aim this season though and their late win against Real Betis last weekend lifted them off the bottom of the table but they remain in the drop-zone.

Their win against Betis was a little fortunate in truth and away from home they have really struggled. Just 2 points from 7 league games on the road this term tell their own story and an Espanyol side that are likely to get a bit of a boost from their new manager’s arrival look good value for the win here at 21/20.

Despite the change, Espanyol’s form hasn’t been disastrous with 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats from their last 6 games which is about what you’d expect from a mid-table side. With home advantage they should deliver the goods here and a 2-0 Espanyol win looks reasonable value at 15/2.
