Estoril prospering under Cathro

Ian Cathro enjoyed a solid first season in charge of Estoril, leading them to eighth place, and they will expect to make a strong start to the new campaign at home to an Estrela side that finished 17 points below them in the final standings.

Estoril certainly had Estrela’s number last season, winning both meetings by an aggregate score of 8-2, as they followed up a 4-2 away success in January with May’s 4-0 win at the Estadio Antonio Coimbra da Mota.
