Everton vs Manchester City Predictions
Everton got their campaign off to a shaky start against the newly promoted Watford, and had to come from behind twice in order to earn themselves a point at Goodison Park.
They made up for this against Southampton last weekend though. Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley teamed up well again and got all the 3 goals between them in an excellent 3-0 victory.
They do have the John Stones saga hanging over their head though. The youngster is acting very professionally amid speculation about a move to Chelsea, but the endless bids being rained down from the champions must be playing on his mind a bit.
Manchester City have opened up a 5 point lead over the Premier League champions already, and their 3-0 drubbing of Chelsea at the Etihad on Sunday showed just how much use they could put John Stones to.
This made it 6 goals scored and 0 conceded in their opening 2 matches of the Premier League season, and we all know how much damage an early Premier League lead can do to the trailing pack.
They aren’t satisfied yet though. They have just tied up a £31 million deal to bring Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi in, and all the transfer rumours points towards the arrival of Kevin De Bruyne before the window shuts.
Sergio Aguero also seems to be back to full fitness, and new signing Raheem Sterling is progressing nicely in the 3 behind Aguero. Add De Bruyne to that and you have an almost unstoppable attacking force. Not to mention the fact that Everton are without Leighton Baines due to injury.
Manchester City may be away from home, but I can see them grabbing another comfortable victory given their excellent form at the moment. A Manchester City -1 Asian Handicap in at odds of 2.150 look incredibly good value as well.
