Everton vs Newcastle Betting Tips

Everton’s comprehensive win over Carlisle United in the FA Cup 4^th Round on Sunday was a much needed victory, ending their four match winless streak in all competitions.

They had lost back to back Premier League games before this away win, with Swansea and Manchester City dishing out defeat to Roberto Martinez’ struggling club.

This poor winning record leaves Everton down in 12^th position in the Premier League with 29 points from their opening 23 matches.

Newcastle remain inside the relegation zone in 18^th position. They are two points adrift of Norwich above them. But the struggling club have spent big in January to try and secure their survival, with Andros Townsend, Seydou Doumbia, Jonjo Shelvey, and Henri Saivet all coming into the club.

These new players will probably take a while to gel in with their new teammates though, so don’t expect a huge turnaround in Newcastle’s form just yet.

Newcastle played Watford last weekend, and they will have been mulling over their 2-1 defeat since then while the FA Cup 4^th Round was played out at the weekend.

This loss made it three defeats, one win, and one draw in Newcastle’s last five matches in all competitions, and five of their last seven outings ended in defeat.

Away from home the relegation candidates have lost four on the bounce, scoring just one goal en route.

This is a dangerous situation to be in. Everton’s attack is a force to be reckoned with and their shoddy defending is the main thing stopping them from picking up victories. I do think Newcastle can break down the Everton defence, but the strength of Everton’s attack should allow them to easily outscore the opposition.

Odds of 13/20 for an Everton win look fair considering this evidence, and I’m also liking the look of a 3-2 correct score prediction at 22/1.
