Exeter City vs Bradford Predictions

  • Both teams scored in four of the last six H2H meetings.
  • Exeter have won each of their last four home games despite conceding
  • Bradford failed to keep a clean sheet in 10 of their last 11 away games.

Fourth time of asking for Exeter?

This is the fourth encounter between these sides this season after they came head to head on the opening day of the League Two campaign before meeting in the first round of the FA Cup. A replay was held on the 18th of November but was ruled null and void as Exeter used six subs in their 3-0 win over Bradford.  Both prior matches this term ended level but it is Exeter who have kicked on since that opening day draw. Despite just one point from their last two league games Exeter put together a three-game winning run in the league after the initial tie and are now in third place in League Two.

Each of those victories were attained at home the Grecians will be glad to return to St James’ Park where they have won each of their last four matches.

Bradford struggling on the road

The visitors have won just one of their last nine matches away from home inside 90 minutes, not including a 3-0 loss in the now null and void replay. They were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom club Scunthorpe in League Two at the weekend and now find themselves in 12th position, six points shy of the play-offs.

They have drawn three of their last four matches all ending 1-1 but were beaten 2-1 by Tranmere last week away from home. The Bantams have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 10 games but have also scored in 10 consecutive matches heightening the chances of goals at each end here.

However, with Bradford wining each of their last four home games and both teams scoring in each I’m favouring them to finally put this tie to bed with a 2-1 win.
