Predictions & Tips

Celtic To Win To Nil @ 4/5

We use stars to rate our confidence in our tips, with 3 being most confident to 1 being the least.
Celtic 2-0 @ 5/1

Reason For Celtic vs Aberdeen Predictions

  • Celtic have kept a clean sheet in six of their nine home games this season, conceding just three goals in those ties.
  • Aberdeen have conceded an average of 1.66 goals in their last three away days.
  • Three of the Hoops’ last five home games have ended 2-0.

Rampant league leaders continue causing damage

Celtic picked up their ninth consecutive win in the Premiership during their midweek clash with Hearts. Neil Lennon’s side haven’t known defeat since visiting Livingston at the start of October and are currently five points ahead of Rangers in the league.

The Hoops now return to Celtic Park in high spirits and their home form will only fuel them, as they are undefeated there since May 2018. The Glasgow club have scored an impressive 31 goals at home – an average of 3.44- eight of which have come in their last trio of games. The Hoops also boast the best home defence in the league, conceding just three times in nine matches and never conceding more than once.

Dons suffer against bigger sides

Aberdeen got back to winning ways last week when they beat Hamilton 1-0 at Pittodrie, but the Dons are winless in their last two away fixtures after previously going on a three-game winning streak.

Derek McInnes’ side are no strangers to scoring goals on the road, despite results not always going their way. Aberdeen have scored at least once in four of their last five away games, although they failed to do so in their most recent outing.

Moreover, the Dons have let in 1.22 goals on average, while only finding the back of the net 1.11 times.

Celtic to keep up the pace

Despite the fact Aberdeen have put in some solid performances away from home in recent weeks – against slightly weaker opponents – Celtic are still the favourites to take all three points here.

The Dons have lost 5-0 to Rangers and 3-0 to Hibs, so we could see a repeat outcome here. We’re backing the Hoops to win to nil here, as they’ve done so in five of their last six home games at Celtic Park.

We’re also going to back the hosts to win 2-0, as they’ve seen that result occur in three of their previous five home ties.
