Reason For Stoke City vs Norwich Predictions

  • Norwich are unbeaten in their last eight Championship matches, winning five.
  • Stoke have won their last three home league games and are unbeaten in five at the bet365 Stadium.
  • Both sides have found the net in nine of their 12 Championship starts this term.

Leaders Face Stern Test at Stoke

Leaders Norwich can extend their unbeaten run to nine matches this Tuesday evening, but the Canaries may have to settle for a point at the Bet365 Stadium against a Stoke side who have won their last three home games.

Teemu Pukki’s second half spot-kick proved decisive for Norwich at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday as they handed a stern Middlesbrough outfit just their second reverse of the campaign, and the result lifted Daniel Farke’s charges to the Championship summit where they lead a clutch of six other teams including Stoke who are no more than three points in arrears.

It means that seventh-placed Stoke could effectively usurp Norwich at the top with a win here and they’ll be confident after sealing a third consecutive home success against Huddersfield on Saturday.

They will have to up their game though to break the visitors’ unbeaten sequence and overall, it’s easy to see why the bookies have found it hard to split this pair based on current form.

With neither side opposable, a draw looks the most likely result and is worth an interest for small stakes. We’re unlikely to see a deluge of goals as these teams could well cancel each other out, although both have netted in nine of their 12 games so far which makes 1-1 a distinctly possible outcome at full-time.
