      Falkenberg vs Orebro Predictions

Falkenberg looked to be almost down and out before the summer break, sitting rock bottom of the Sweden Allsvenskan with just four points to their names from their opening 12 games. After they narrowly avoided relegation from the top flight last season, it looked like this could be the season they failed.

However, their return from the summer break has been a successful endeavour so far, and it’s allowed some hope to spread through the camp. They beat second from bottom Gefle to move off the bottom of the table, and last weekend they drew at Hammarby to double their points tally in two games.

Falkenberg are still six points adrift of the relegation playoff spot that they finished in last season and seven behind the safety of 13th placed Djurgarden though, so they will need to keep their run going in order to give themselves a real chance of staying up. Their recent results make it one win, one draw, and six defeats in their last eight league outings.

Orebro are having an excellent time of it at the moment in the Allsvenskan but their form has dipped a bit lately. Their goalless draw with Hacken on Sunday made it one win, four draws, and two defeats for them in their last seven outings. However, the mid-season friendlies are included in that and in the Allsvenskan they are winless in four but have only lost one of their last seven.

Three of these seven games ended in victory for Orebro, helping them towards a 4th place standing in the Allsvenskan table. A win on Saturday could see them move into 5th position, whereas a defeat would give AIK and Elfsborg the chance to leapfrog them.

Falkenberg’s defence at home has been shocking this season, with them conceding 14 goals in their six home games. However, they have managed to find the net in all but one of them too, which has resulted in five of their six home games ending with both teams on the score-sheet and at least three goals.

Orebro’s last two outings have seen them set up rather defensively against AIK and Malmo but, prior to that, all of their five away days had seen at least three goals, with four of them seeing both teams find the net too.

Because of both team’s high scoring nature, my prediction for this game is for Over 2.5 Goals and Both Teams to Score and odds of 5/6 for this outcome look very good value. I’m going for an Orebro win with a 3-1 correct score prediction at 12/1 as well.
