Cincy can maintain lead in the East

The battle for the top seed in the Eastern Conference is an intense one with just four points separating the top four teams.

Two of those sides meet at TQL Stadium on Saturday night as pacesetters Cincinnati host Columbus Crew, and home advantage could be key here.

Cincy are on a four-game winning streak overall and they have lost just one of their eight MLS games at this venue, winning five.

The Crew are winless in five on the road and they were perhaps lucky to claim a point at Seattle Sounders in their last away game – so the in-form Orange and Blue should be able to at least maintain their lead at the top in the East after this weekend’s games.

Columbus are yet to draw a blank on their travels in MLS this season and clean sheets have been an issue for Cincinnati, as both teams have scored in seven of their last eight games, so a 2-1 win for the high-flying hosts is the correct score prediction.
