FC Copenhagen and Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in 13 of Copenhagen’s last 14 games so they give their opponents opportunities defensively. Hearts may well be outclassed here however against a team that are unbeaten in their last 12 outings and currently top the Danish Superliga.

FC Copenhagen 3-1

Reason for tip

Copenhagen’s last two games have been 3-1 wins and they could make it three in a row in this one against a Hearts team that have lost by a two-goal deficit in their last two European outings.

FC Copenhagen vs Hearts Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in 13 of Copenhagen’s last 14 matches
  • Hearts have lost their last two European games by two goals
  • Copenhagen have won back-to-back games 3-1

Hearts may fall short against top class opposition

Hearts have had a disappointing domestic campaign and their Europa Conference League efforts have taken a downward turn following a strong start.

The Jam Tarts have lost back-to-back European games since winning their first two and look likely to fall to three in a row when they visit Copenhagen on Thursday.

The Danish side are unbeaten in their last 12 games and currently top their domestic league after 17 games.

A pair of European draws means that they are not as high up the Conference League table as they would like but they should have too much quality for their opponents here.

Hearts picked up a 2-0 win over Dundee at the weekend but the Scottish side remain second-bottom of the Premiership table after a disappointing start to the season.

They have tended to fall short when facing top class opposition, as shown in recent losses to Heidenheim, Rangers, Celtic and Cercle Brugge.

Neil Critchley’s men may have to settle for second best once more against a Copenhagen side that reached the knockout stages of the Champions League last season.

However the Danes do give their opponents a chance defensively so it’s worth taking Hearts to get on the scoresheet in defeat.
