FC Vaduz to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Vaduz play in a stronger league despite it being second division, they have experience getting to the group stages, with many of these players involved, while their rivals are pretty inexperienced having not played a European game since 2007. Expect class to show and Vaduz winning with over 2.5 goals in the match.

FC Vaduz 3-1

Reason for tip

Vaduz should be looking to put the tie to bed, giving themselves plenty of breathing space in the second leg, expect to see them put several on the scoresheet but do not be surprised if their opponents find a goal on the counter. Vaduz 3-1 is the play

FC Vaduz vs Dungannon Swifts Predictions

  • Dungannon’s first European game since 2007
  • Liechtenstein rank six places above Northern Ireland in the UEFA Coefficient
  • Vaduz reached Group Stages in 22/23

Vaduz to show levels vs inexperienced rivals

Vaduz welcome Dungannon Swifts to the Rheinpark Stadion for the first leg of their UEFA Conference League second-qualifying round tie, and the Liechtenstein outfit are expected to make home advantage count against a side making their return to European competition after a long absence.

Vaduz, who play their league football in the Swiss system, have become regulars in continental competition due to their dominance in the Liechtenstein Cup, and they made history in 2022 by becoming the first club from their country to reach a European group stage. Their European pedigree stands in contrast to a Dungannon side whose last continental appearance came back in 2007.

While Liechtenstein does not have a domestic league, Vaduz’s performances alone have helped lift the nation to 42nd in UEFA’s country coefficient rankings, well clear of Northern Ireland in 48th. It’s worth noting that Switzerland’s co efficient ranks at 15, and while Vaduz play in the second division it will still be to a much higher standard than that off their opponents

Expect the class to show here and see Vaduz win comfortably, with them scoring a few goals at least. Vaduz on their own are too short to back, but backing them to win and over 2.5 looks more rewarding. A small bet on 3-1 won’t go a miss.
