Vaduz, who play their league football in the Swiss system, have become regulars in continental competition due to their dominance in the Liechtenstein Cup, and they made history in 2022 by becoming the first club from their country to reach a European group stage. Their European pedigree stands in contrast to a Dungannon side whose last continental appearance came back in 2007.
