Ferencvarosi TC vs Slavia Prague Predictions
- Slavia have won both of their games so far this season and both were away from home.
- Ferencvaros lost at home to Kisvarda at the weekend.
- Slavia have seven clean sheets in last nine away games (W7, D2).
Slick Slavia too hot for Ferencvaros
Slavia Prague head to Hungary to face Ferencvaros in the first leg of their Champions League third round qualifier on Wednesday and we’re backing the Czech side to seize the advantage,
Slavia won the Czech title in style last season as they remained unbeaten in the league and have made a strong start this term, with two wins in two games so far.
Both of those victories came on the road, and they should have too much for a Ferencvaros outfit who suffered a surprise defeat to Kisvarda at home in their first league outing of the new season at the weekend.
Ferencvaros have been largely untroubled in Champions League qualifying so far as they overcame Kosovo’s Prishtina and Lithuania’s Zalgiris 6-1 and 5-1 on aggregate respectively in the previous rounds, but Slavia are a big step up in class.
The Prague outfit are unbeaten in their last 22 away games – a run stretching back to December 2020 – and last season they beat Leicester and Rangers on the road in the Europa League, as well as claiming a draw at Arsenal.
Slavia have seven clean sheets in their last nine away games, winning seven of those matches and drawing two, and with that in mind we feel a 2-0 win for the visitors has a chance in this match-up.
