Of the sides not currently in the top 6, Cardiff look like the only one who may threaten it. They are unbeaten in 4 games, winning against the sides directly around them in the table in the form of Derby and Ipswich while picking up points on the road at leaders Burnley and Reading. It’s a very solid return from difficult games and they’ll be hungry for a win here at struggling Fulham given they are still 4 points off the top 6 and 6th place Derby have what should be an easy home game with bottom club Bolton. Fulham have had a great week so far and it was badly needed given they’d only won 3 out of their 25 games prior to it. They won their relegation six-pointer with MK Dons 2-1 at Craven Cottage last Saturday and backed that up with an impressive 2-1 away win at Preston in midweek. As a result they find themselves up to 19th and 7 points clear of the relegation zone and they could move as much as 10 points clear of it with another victory here. That would be a remarkable turnaround given they were in danger of dropping into it only 7 days ago.

There are usually plenty of goals when Fulham are involved and both teams have scored in all of their last 6 games. Cardiff come here knowing a draw really isn’t going to be much use to them so should come with a positive attitude and therefore it could be a really open game with chances at both ends. For that reason consider backing both teams to score at 4/6 in this one.
