Fulham to Win

Reason for tip

Fulham are unbeaten in their last five meetings with Everton and they have already won at Goodison Park this season and dumped their opponents out of the EFL Cup.  The Toffees are also out of form, winning just once in eight across all competitions.

Fulham 2-1

Reason for tip

Everton lost 2-1 at home to Luton in the FA Cup at the weekend and they may be on the end of a similar result at Craven Cottage, as Fulham have already beaten Arsenal and Norwich by that scoreline on home soil this season.

Bobby De Cordova Reid To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Fulham are sharing the goals around this season and winger Bobby De Cordova-Reid is one of three players to have found the back of the net five times, including the winner he struck against Everton when these two teams met at Goodison Park back in August.

Fulham vs Everton Predictions

  • Fulham have won four of their last five home matches in the Premier League
  • Everton are on a run of one win in eight across all competitions
  • The Toffees have not won in five against Fulham, losing three of those games

Fulham to bounce back from double cup heartache

It has been a miserable week for Fulham, as they were narrowly edged out by Liverpool in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup, losing 3-2 on aggregate, before suffering a 2-0 home loss to Newcastle in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The defeat to the Magpies was a rare one at home for Fulham, as they have won four of their last five at Craven Cottage in the Premier League, a run that includes 5-0 hammerings of Nottingham Forest and West Ham, as well as a 2-1 success over title chasing Arsenal.

The Cottagers also have an impressive recent record against Everton, as they are unbeaten in the last five meetings, winning three of those, including a 1-0 success at Goodison Park back in August.

Marco Silva’s side also knocked Everton out of the EFL Cup before Christmas and they will feel they should have enough to continue their rich vein of form against the Toffees.

Toffees in the middle of sticky patch

Prior to last month’s cup exit at the hands of Fulham, Everton had been flying, but that penalty shoot-out loss to the Cottagers marked the start of a sticky spell for the Toffees, who have now won just once in eight matches.

Like Fulham, Sean Dyche’s side exited the FA Cup at the weekend, losing 2-1 at home to Luton after conceding the decisive goal deep into second-half stoppage time.

That loss will have hurt the Toffees and they could be on the end of another 2-1 defeat on Tuesday, as Fulham have already seen off Arsenal and Norwich by that scoreline at Craven Cottage this season.

De Cordova-Reid could play key role

After selling key forward Aleksandar Mitrovic during the summer, Fulham have started to spread their goals around, as three players currently lead their scoring charts with five, with one of those being winger Bobby De Cordova-Reid.

Jamaica international De Cordova-Reid struck either side of New Year against Arsenal in the league and Rotherham in the FA Cup, while he also has previous when facing Everton.

The 30-year-old netted the only goal of the game when the two teams met at Goodison in August and he also struck in Fulham’s 3-2 home loss to the Toffees in November 2020. Another De Cordova-Reid goal could therefore be on the cards this midweek.
