Fulham vs Preston Betting Tips

The Lancashire side had been on an excellent unbeaten run of 6 Championship matches in which they kept 6 consecutive clean sheets to move away from the bottom three. However they were beaten last time out, 2-1 at home to local rivals Blackburn and they are still only two points outside the drop-zone.

These are uncertain times at Fulham, who sacked Kit Symons almost 3 weeks ago now but are yet to name a permanent replacement. Peter Grant is likely to again take charge of this match and he drew his opening game 1-1 away at Milton Keynes Dons last weekend.

Games involving Fulham nearly always produce goals. They have the best goalscoring record in the league with 30 coming from their 17 matches so far,  but they’ve conceded 29 times, the 2nd worst defensive record in the division.

Both teams have scored in all of their last 6 matches and therefore odds of 8/11 look tempting here to back both teams to score in this one. Preston might be a fairly cautious side but against a charitable Fulham defence that has kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 14 home league games, they will get chances and we should see an away goal.

However Fulham do have that little bit extra in terms of attacking quality and there is a real potential in this side if whoever the new manager is, manages to sort them out at the back.

They might just have too much for Preston here and a 2-1 home win looks well worth a punt at tempting odds of 8/1.
