Fredrik Midtsjo’s injury-time winner for Galatasaray in the first leg of their Champions League play-off tie against Molde has left the Turks on the verge of qualifying for the group stage and they can finish the job off at their fortress Rams Park.

The Turks have lost just one of their last 19 home games, a run that includes routine victories over Zalgiris and Olimpija Ljubljana in the previous rounds of Champions League qualifying.

And while a 3-2 advantage from a pulsating first leg in Norway means Gala don’t have to go for it, Okan Buruk will want his side to make sure of their return to the group stage for the first time since the 2019/20 season.

Having given it their best go in the first leg, where the 3-2 loss made it one win from the last five games for Molde, Galatasaray may find the visitors don’t put up much of a fight.

The two goals conceded in the first leg were the first goals Gala had allowed in six games and with defensive shield Lucas Torreira back in the side after suspension, they should have enough to shut out Molde.
