Genoa trip is perfect antidote for wobbling Nerazzurri

Having previously looked like sure-fire favourites to seal a second successive Scudetto triumph, Inter have gone through a rocky patch at the worst possible time, allowing both AC Milan and Napoli, both of whom have claimed results against them this month, to enter the title race. A trip to lowly Genoa, then, could be just what the doctor ordered for the Nerazzurri. Given Inter’s strong defensive record, and Genoa’s frankly appalling attacking returns, a shutout Inter win looks the value play for Friday’s clash. No Serie A team has managed fewer shots on target this season than Genoa, so they shouldn’t be expected to find the net.

However, given Inter’s recent wobbles, a nervous 1-0 win could be a decent correct score prediction, as the Nerazzurri look to grind out the kind of result which wins championships.
