Getafe vs Levante Betting Tips

Getafe look very short here at 19/20 for the win given they have lost 4 of their opening 5 fixtures and have only scored 3 goals so far. They were also awful at the end of last season and a worrying return of just 5 points from their last 13 La Liga matches really does not bode well for their prospects this year.

They only won 6 home games in all of last season and were beaten at home by this weekend’s opponents Levante as recently as May. Víctor Casadesús netted the only goal in that game for the visitors and they’ll be hopeful of a repeat here even though they are without a win so far this season.

They have been more threatening in front of goal than their opponents though, scoring in all but one of their matches. Their only defeats came at the Camp Nou and against Celta Vigo on the opening day when they were reduced to 10 men after just 5 minutes.

In a weird sort of way they’ll come into this game on a high having come from 2-0 down to equalise in the last minute against Eibar in midweek. The Valencia club who many are tipping for the drop are clearly still a resilient outfit and against a less than impressive Getafe side, they look really good value to pick up something from the game at 17/20.

Whether they have enough to win it though is rather more doubtful. 4 of their last 6 La Liga matches have ended all square and they’ve drawn 5 times since their last win so they clearly lack the conviction needed to get over the line in games.

It could be a cautious tactical kind of game but both teams have scored in 4 of Levante’s 5 matches so far this season, so consider backing it to finish 1-1 at 11/2.
