Wales should be in cruise control

Gibraltar have lost their last 13 internationals, a run stretching back to November 2022, and they look sure to be out of their depth against Wales.

The hosts have failed to score a single goal during that period, which includes a 4-0 reverse in Wales in October when they didn’t even manage a single shot as the Dragons racked up 28.

Gibraltar were beaten 2-0 when entertaining Scotland on Monday and they were utterly dominated, with the Tartan Army having 76 per cent possession and winning the shot stats 25-1.

Although Wales failed to qualify for the European Championships, they should have few concerns coming out on top in this one, albeit manager Rob Page is likely to be resourceful and give various players minutes.

Goal-shy Gib out to keep things respectable

Minnows Gibraltar know they can’t match Wales so they’ll aim to be stubborn, sitting deep and attempting to frustrate their opponents.

That is unlikely to work but it should at least help them keep the score respectable and backing Wales to win and under 4.5 goals could be the way to approach this.

For all their recent struggles, Gibraltar have conceded more than four goals in only three of their last 13 defeats. Four of those losses ended 3-0 and that could be the interest for correct-score punters.
