Gillingham vs Crewe Predictions
- None of Gillingham’s last five games have included more than two goals
- There have been fewer than three strikes in 11 of Crewe’s last 15 fixtures
- Gillingham have only lost one of their last six home outings
Can Gillingham refind their goalscoring touch?
Goals have been a huge problem for Gillingham for the majority of the season, but a busy January seemed to have sorted that problem out, until a 2-0 defeat at Walsall on Saturday.
Manager Neil Harris will be hoping that is a one off for a side who had kept clean sheets in their previous three games, all of which contained fewer than three strikes.
The Gills will also be banking on their return to Priestfield, where they have won five of their last six matches, four of them containing no more than two strikes, as they attempt to get a vital win.
Crewe struggling on the road
Crewe on the other hand head south having lost back-to-back games 1-0, against Stevenage and Northampton, extending a run of form to nine without a win on the road.
They have failed to score in five of those games, with six of them containing fewer than three goals.
Indeed, Lee Bell’s side have one of the worst away records in League Two, netting only 11 times in the process.
I predict there will be fewer than three goals in this game, with a 2-0 win for Gillingham my correct score prediction.
