Granada vs Deportivo La Coruna Predictions

They have been flying this season after pulling off a dramatic late escape last term. For the first time in close to a decade there is a real feel-good factor in La Coruna and Víctor Sánchez is certainly the man responsible for that having returned to his old club to save them last year.

This term they are 6th in the table, having lost just 1 of their opening 6 games and they come into this one having won 3 of their last 4. Two of those victories have been away from home so they will have no reason not to travel here full of confidence and expectation about walking away with a positive result.

Unlike Depor, Granada have not built on their great escape, which was even more remarkable. They are bottom of the pile after 6 games and having lost 5 of them this already looks like it is going to be another season of real struggle for the Andalucian side.

Their 3 visitors so far have been Eibar, Real Sociedad and Villarreal and the first two sides especially are not known for their goalscoring prowess. However all 3 won in Granada and they all scored 3 goals in the process. That is an extremely worrying way to start the new season at home and at 9/5 a Deportivo La Coruna side that are playing well and are full of confidence look extremely good value to seal the win.

They have scored 2 or more in each of their last 4 matches so should be able to really test a shaky Granada defence. However they do tend to concede also, so there may be some joy at the other end for the hosts.

Therefore consider backing Depor to win this one 2-1 at 10/1 and ensure Granada’s 100% losing home record continues a little while longer.
