Valencia to Win

Reason for tip

Granada are winless in ten La Liga games and have lost their last four, while Valencia have only lost three of their last 13 league assignments and have beaten Granada in three of the last four meetings.

Valencia 1-0

Reason for tip

Granada’s last two games have ended in 1-0 defeats and they were beaten by this scoreline away to Valencia in November, while the visitors last victory was also by a 1-0 scoreline.

Granada vs Valencia Predictions

  • Granada are winless in ten La Liga games.
  • Granada have lost their last four league matches.
  • Valencia have only lost one of their last 13 games.

Hosts staring down relegation barrel

Granada sank to their fourth successive La Liga defeat at the weekend and their time in the top flight appears to be very limited, with the 19th-placed side sitting 14 points adrift of safety with just nine games left to play.

The hosts come into this game winless in ten league fixtures and they have won just two games all season, both of which came against teams in the bottom five of the table.

Duro to pile misery on Granada

Valencia have not been at their best this season, but they have avoided defeat in ten of their last 13 assignments and have won six of those. Their 1-0 triumph over Granada in November was their third win in the last four meetings and I expect them to claim another three points on Thursday.

A repeat of November’s 1-0 scoreline appeals, too, with each of Granada’s last two games ending in a 1-0 loss and Valencia’s last victory also being by this scoreline.

The sole goalscorer could be Valencia forward Hugo Duro. The 24-year-old has scored 12 La Liga goals and has bagged two in his last four, so he looks a good price to compound Granada’s misery.
