Granada vs Valladolid predictions for Saturday night’s La Liga clash at Los Carmenes. Saturday’s La Liga action rounds off in Andalusia, as Granada look to solidify their position in the top half of the table with a win against Valladolid. Read on for all our free La Liga predictions and betting tips.

We use stars to rate our confidence in our tips, with 3 being most confident to 1 being the least.
Granada 1-0 @ 9/2

Reason For Granada vs Real Valladolid Predictions

  • Granada have won three of their last four home matches in La Liga. Nazaries have performed extremely well at Los Carmenes on the whole this season, amassing 22 points from their 11 starts (W7, D1 and L3).
  • Valladolid’s 0-1 success at Mallorca on Matchday 22 was their first away win in seven. Pucela have won just three matches on the road this term, drawing four and losing five.

Welcome return to home comforts for Granada

Granada’s 1-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano last week undoubtedly marked an improvement on their recent away displays, but Nazaries have now lost eight straight matches on the road in La Liga, failing to score in their last six.

Fortunately for last season’s Segunda runners-up, they have been excellent in their own back yard since returning to La Liga and look certain to preserve their top-flight status this term. Diego Martinez’s side have averaged two points per game at home (W7, D1 and L3) and head into this Saturday’s clash against Valladolid having won three of their last four at Los Carmenes.

Those recent victories have all been against sides currently placed in the bottom seven and Granada have won all but one of their seven home matches against teams below them in the table. So despite their travelling woes and a 1-0 midweek defeat to Athletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Rey, the stats point to another three points for Granada in Andalusia this weekend, against a Valladolid side who slipped a place to 15th despite holding in-form Villarreal to a 1-1 draw on Matchday 23.

Stern resistance from Valladolid

That result backed up a 0-1 away success for Valladolid against Mallorca a fortnight ago, but Pucela’s triumph at Son Moix was their first in seven on the road, and the only win they have managed in their last 11 league outings. Still, Sergio’s charges have drawn six in that sequence to keep themselves eight points clear of the relegation zone, and they should have just enough in the locker to keep themselves safe this season.

Eleven draws from 23 matches overall emphasises just how difficult Pucela are to beat, and they rarely roll over for any side in La Liga, despite possessing far less star quality in their ranks than the majority of their opponents.

So this Saturday’s fixture will be no cakewalk for Granada, but that’s reflected in the betting, with the hosts attractively priced to bank their eighth home victory of the campaign.

Granada the value call at Los Carmenes

It wouldn’t be a huge surprise were Valladolid to tough out their 12th draw of the season here, but five of their seven defeats this term have been on the road, while Granada’s home record is too formidable to oppose. It’s surprising, therefore, that the bookies have Nazaries at around the 7/5 mark to land the spoils on Matchday 24 and we feel those odds should be snapped up.

Valladolid’s style of play and tenacity will certainly make this a close contest, but Granada boast such a strong record at Los Carmenes and have accounted for the majority of bottom-half teams they have played on home soil this season.

Five of Granada’s victories in Andalusia have been by a one-goal margin, which also points towards a tight tussle, so we’re also tipping a 1-0 correct scoreline. Our prediction is boosted further by the fact Valladolid have failed to score in 50% of their away fixtures this term.
