Greece shouldn’t be underestimated 

Greece and Spain meet in a crucial World Cup qualifier on Thursday and the hosts may be able to get a result.

With two games remaining, Greece are four points behind Spain in second spot and a win would keep their hopes of reaching the tournament proper alive.

La Roja know they will be guaranteed a top two finish if they avoid defeat but defeat would leave their qualification hopes in the balance as they face Group B leaders Sweden in the final round of fixtures.

Spain have failed to win eight of their last 11 away matches, and with Greece unbeaten in 11 at home the hosts look a great price to get a result in the double chance market.

Greece were lucky to come away with a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture in March but they still managed to get a result. With home advantage, and with Spain missing a few key attackers – such as Ferran Torres and Mikel Oyarzabal – the Greeks can repeat that result and a 1-1 draw is the correct score selection.
