Guiseley vs Macclesfield Betting Tips

Guiseley were promoted from the Conference North via the playoffs after finishing in 5^th position in the league table, but so far the quality difference between them and the rest of the squads isn’t really showing through.

They have only lost four of their opening 14 matches in the Conference Premier, instead becoming one of the division’s draw specialists.

They have drawn six games in the league already, winning the remaining four matches to take their points tally to 18.

This puts them in a respectable 16^th position in the table, two positions better off than the 18^th placed Macclesfield.

The visitors do only have a one point deficit on them though, but it’s still some way off the quality they were showing last season when they finished in 6^th place, missing out on the playoffs by one point.

Macclesfield lost four of their opening six games in the Conference National at the beginning of this season.

They have managed to improve slightly since then though, winning four of their following eight games and only losing three times.

Their last match was a goalless draw at home to Boreham Wood, and before that they managed a 3-0 win away to Aldershot.

They might have a chance here on Tuesday though. Guiseley have only won one of their last six home matches in the Conference Premier, losing three of those games. Meanwhile Macclesfield have won two of their last four away days.

I think Macclesfield can get a result on Tuesday. They have better players available to them and Guiseley haven’t been great in front of their own fans so far, so I’m expecting a draw. Odds of 4/7 for a Macclesfield Win or Draw Double Chance look like good value to me as well.
