Djurgarden to edge things in Halmstad

Halmstad have been able to turn things around of late with four games without a loss in the league. This has been a far cry from their form to start the season where they lost three of their opening five games. Their home form has been the biggest worry with the side drawing three of their four games as hosts and scoring just three goals in that time.

Djurgarden couldn’t have wished for a much better start to their campaign with the visitors this weekend leading the way in Allsvenskan. They’ve lost just once, picking up 20 points from a possible 28 and scoring 16 times in nine games. Most impressively, they have only conceded six times so far this season, the best defensive record in the league at present.

This match, on paper at least, looks as though it should be a Djurgarden win but Halmstad picking up a bit of form, and having home advantage, makes things a little more complex. Djurgarden have won the last four meetings between the sides but three of those games have ended with both teams scoring and that feels like a value bet with both sides being in good form. Djurgarden should have the edge though and we’re forecasting a 2-1 win for the visitors.
