Improving Djurgardens can raid Halmstads

Djurgardens should be backed to beat Halmstads in their Allsvenskan clash at Orjans Vall on Sunday.

The hosts have lost four of their last six league games at home and will be low on confidence after suffering defeats in their last two home matches.

Djurgardens are four places above Halmstads in the table, with the two sides separated by five points. Halmstads are 13th with three wins and seven defeats, while Conference League semi-finalists Djurgardens are ninth with four wins, three draws and four losses.

Last weekend’s 4-1 defeat to Elfsborg was Halmstads’ third on the spin and they have been disappointing defensively at home this season, conceding 17 goals in six games – an average of 2.83 goals per game.

Overall, no team has conceded more goals in the Allsvenskan this season than Halmstads’ 25 in 11 outings.

Halmstads’ last three league games have all finished with three or more goals while Djurgardens’ four wins in this season’s Allsvenskan have all been by a single goal, making a 2-1 away win a decent correct-score option.
